CD’s are now available from the Plunge Records store. UCG is busy shooting a video for ‘Slow Burn’ in conjunction with a CD launch performance including 5 new songs being recorded and filmed for future release.

08.12.2007 New album in final mixing!
The band is close to completing the new album! After three months of tracking & preproduction, polished mixes are finally under way. Recorded at the house with the invaluable assistance of co-producer Jon Kooy, rough mixes have now shifted toward completion. Tentative release date is set for late March on the Plunge Records imprint.

With an enthusiastically received concert in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, UCG were off to Alberta in August for their first out-of-town engagements. They performed to a captive audience August 10 & 11 at Calgary’s premiere jazz venue the Beat Niq Jazz & Social club; the first road gigs of many more to come!

UCG’s artist residency at the Jazz Cellar in May culminated with a rocking performance recorded by CBC for national broadcast on ‘Canada Live’. With an enthusiastic audience along for the ride the band wove its way through a tight set including four new songs.
